Continuing Our Commitment to Communities in Africa
At African Portfolio, our mission has always been twofold: to make your safari dreams a reality, and to ensure that our journeys also leave a lasting, positive impact on the local communities we visit. For more than 15 years, we have proudly supported Kasipiti, a grassroots organization dedicated to helping families cover the rising costs of education—including tuition, school fees, books, uniforms, and transportation. We believe education is the key to creating opportunities and empowering young people to become self-sufficient. Today, Kasipiti sponsors the education of dozens of children and teenagers, giving them hope for a brighter future.
Diane’s On Board!
Continuing our focus on education, earlier this year we highlighted our commitment to Education Matters, a remarkable organization changing lives through educational opportunity across Africa. We are delighted to share the exciting news that our founder Diane has recently been invited to join the Board of Directors at Education Matters. This is especially meaningful as empowerment through education has always been her personal passion.

Our vision is a world where every individual has access to the resources they need to thrive. It’s incredibly inspiring to witness the achievements of these young adults, who succeed despite unimaginable challenges.”
Diane also joins at a very special time as Education Matters dedicated school program, USAP (United Student Achievers Program) is celebrating its 25th anniversary! Founded in 1999, USAP began as an initiative to expand access to higher education for talented Zimbabwean students. Over the past 25 years, it has grown into a global community of changemakers. This year celebrations are taking place around the world, bringing together alumni, supporters, and friends to reconnect, reflect, and reimagine the next 25 years.
