By end of January 2025, Simbavati Musabi Plains is set to open in the western corridor on the open plains between the Serengeti National Park and the Grumeti River. It will be a luxurious 6-tented retreat nestled in the heart of the Serengeti’s untouched wilderness.
February 2025 sees the opening of ENVI Sisini Mara, a luxury tented camp in the northern Serengeti, comprising of 10 high-end tented suites with private decks, outdoor baths, and expansive views. The lodge will be located only a 15-minute drive to the nearest (predicted) great migration crossing point.
In March 2025 the new Osonjoi Lodge is set to open with 20 tents. It will be positioned to take advantage both panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater, as well as direct access the floor of the crater via the lesser-used Lemala access road down to the eastern quadrant of the UNESCO World Heritage site.
In July 2025, TAASA Migration Camp is set to open, this is a new sister property to TAASA Lodge, which is one of Vanessa’s favorites in Tanzania, so we are all excited! This unique and family-friendly tented camp will be nestled amidst dramatic landscapes of the Serengeti as it moves with nature throughout the year. Following the migratory herds, guests can experience an unparalleled opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration in luxurious comfort.
In July 2025 we expect the opening of the 14-suite andBeyond Suyian Lodge, in the Laikipia region of Kenya. Activities include camel safaris, bush walks, and conservation experiences in a region known for its rare wildlife. The lodge takes its name from the Maa word for “African Wild Dog,” a tribute to the elusive predator found in this region.
Also opening in July 2025, Laba Grumeti Art Lodge is a stunning edition to Tanzania’s Grumeti Reserve, combining luxury, art and nature in perfect harmony. Each of the 11, art -filled tented suites – including 1 family suite- is thoughtfully designed and elevated on a private deck offering sweeping views of the Serengeti. Guests can enjoy superb wildlife viewing with their private guide and vehicle, ensuring an intimate and tailored experience.
In the Mara North Conservancy, Little Elephant Pepper Camp is expected to be a small, intimate, high-end tented camp featuring 4 safari suites, including one two-bedroom camp and a swimming pool – ideal for small groups and families. Many of our clients have enjoyed the sister camp, Elephant Pepper, so this new more intimate camp would be ideal for a return visit with your extended family or group of friends.
Wilderness Safaris are adding to their unique “safari circuit” in Rwanda with their planned opening in September 2025, of Wilderness Magashi Peninsula. Modern luxury, cultural inspiration and pristine natural surrounds come together at this intimate 8 bed camp, set on a private concession within Rwanda’s Akagera National Park. The new camp will overlook Lake Rwanyakazinga and the stunning Mutumba Mountains.
In October, Kenya’s Amboseli National Park will see the opening of Kitirua Tented camp – a luxury 10 suite tented property with private plunge pools and spectacular views out over Mount Kilimanjaro. A welcome addition to this popular National Park, renowned for it’s large tusked male elephants.
Plans have also been announced for Kitirua Plains Lodge to
open in late 2025, scheduled to feature 16 rooms with similar views of Mount Kilimanjaro across the border.
