We are thrilled to have raised $4,425 for Uthando with your generosity. Anouk spoke to James (the founder) and this money will be helping efforts to feed and provide emergency services for the communities most in need. And as promised we are also going to be arranging field trips for several groups of children, to learn about their surrounding natural environment, and be inspired by nature on all levels. We will be sure to share photos and stories in the coming months.
If anyone is planning to be in Cape Town this coming year, we would be delighted to add a tour of some of Uthando’s projects to your itinerary. It is incredibly uplifting to see what the communities are doing to raise themselves out of poverty, despite these difficult times.
And as we know, the best way to support communities and wildlife in Africa, is to plan a trip! Much of Africa has opened up to visitors this month, and there’s still an opportunity to book a last minute trip during this peak safari time. If you don’t mind a little heat — the animals, lodges, staff (and all of us) are waiting to welcome you back. So do give us a call or send us an email.
