This adventure begins in Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an area of natural beauty. Enjoy Africa's self-proclaimed adventure capital while staying at Ilala Lodge for two nights - a great location for exploring Victoria Falls town, its craft markets and local flavours. Enjoy a sunset cruise as you toast your first night in Africa! A myriad of additional activities can be added during your stay including a tour of the Falls, ziplining, white water rafting, a helicopter excursion or a trip to the Devil's Pool (water levels permitting).  Pre-booking is recommended. Your journey continues as you travel to Botswana, beginning with 2 nights in the Linyanti area, at Linyanti Tented Camp, where there will be ample opportunity for walking/hiking as twice daily game drives, in a area rich with wildlife and considered one of the prime elephant wildlife corridors in Southern Africa. From there continue to Gomoti Plains Camp for 3 nights. Located on world's largest inland delta, the Okavango Delta, with its excellent guides and location. Days are spent enjoying game drives, night drives, mokoro (canoe) excursions (water level dependent) and bush walks - a lovely combination of land and water activities, with fantastic game viewing including lion, leopard, elephant, hippo as well as birdlife and antelope.  Then it is onto Cape Town for a final 3 nights in Africa's southernmost city.  Days will be spent exploring the city, including Table Mountain, Cape Point and the Cape Winelands.  The Cape Cadogan, a charming boutique hotel in a lively neighbourhood, will prove a welcome oasis to relax, while close enough to enjoy all the fine dining the city has to offer.  It is foodie heaven!

Linyanti Tented Camp

The Kwando-Linyanti river system is home to a series of private game reserves, known for their exotic animal species and luxury safari options. An abundance of wildlife roams freely between the woodland habitats, ancient floodplains and forests that make up these lush, unfenced reserves. Linyanti Tented Camp is ideal for families and small groups looking to explore this wildlife-rich concession. Unrivalled in its remoteness and sense of space, the camp overlooks the iconic Linyanti Marsh.
Eight large, airy tents recreate an explorer-type style, while the two main areas are on a slightly raised deck. Game drives and full-day excursions with lunch at remote picnic spots enable fuller exploration of the varying habitats, including the river, floodplains, open dry-land savannah and woodland. Linyanti Tented Camp can only be booked on a sole-use basis.

Insider's Tip

Look out for large herds of elephants that congregate along the waterways of the Linyanti River and floodplain in front of camp.

Gomoti Plains Camp

The Gomoti Plains is located in a community run concession, on the edge of the Gomoti river system southeast of the Okavango Delta. The Gomoti tree is locally known as the water fig and grows alongside waterways in the Okavango delta. It’s a smallish tree which sometimes grows no bigger than a bush. The area is known for its large concentrations of wildlife which thrive on the Gomoti plains and waterways. The Gomoti trees line the waterways and provide excellent cover for nesting water birds such as herons and storks.This exclusive area has been a well-kept secret for many years. The Gomoti region has been the local haunt of many of the older guides and Okavango dwellers who refer to it in nostalgic terms when they used to camp along this river system.This new camp has 10 luxury tents which include 2 luxury family tents and 8 luxury double tents, all with en-suite bathroom facilities.. In addition to day and night 4WD game drives, the camp offers water based activities such as mokoro excursions and motor boat trips.

Itinerary Details

We make our way along the Atlantic seaboard passing Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton. Bakoven and Llandudno, with their ghostly shipwrecks, are also fantastic sights on the way to the fishing village of Hout Bay, where we board a boat to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island (weather permitting).
From here we navigate the 114 curves of 600m high Chapman’s Peak Drive. We then explore the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park, home to fabulous birds and very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and the charismatic Cape baboon. Climb (or ride the world’s first environmentally friendly funicular) to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the magical vistas of False Bay.
After lunch, we visit Boulders Beach to see the penguins, and then head home through the naval village of Simonstown and over scenic Boyes Drive, taking in the views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St James and Muizenberg.
To round off your day you can take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain.

Depart the city for the Winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality.
Wine estates visited will vary according to client preferences, but the tour generally includes the region’s major wine producing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek, and there are chances aplenty en route for tastings of world-renowned reds and whites, as well as Cap Classiques – South Africa’s answer to “Champagne”.
Lunch at one of the many classic, award-winning restaurants in the area.
Natural and historic heritage abounds in this area and your tour may take in sights like the Afrikaans Language Monument with its panoramic Boland views. Idyllic Franschoek, nestled in a valley settled by French Huguenots in 1688, is a delight for both antique lovers and gastronomes alike.
Stellenbosch, South Africa’s second-oldest town, provides another glimpse of classic 17th-century Cape style, with a chance to browse quaint Dorp Street and the many museums, galleries and shops of this lovely university town.
