Eligibility

• The referral program is open to individuals aged 18 years or older.
• Employees of African Portfolio, its suppliers, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Qualifying Referral

• A referral qualifies when a new client (not previously booked or quoted with African Portfolio) confirms and completes a qualifying booking made directly with African Portfolio.
• The referred client must name the referrer at the time of first enquiry.
• Referrals submitted after booking confirmation do not qualify.

Minimum Booking Requirement

• The qualifying referral booking must meet the minimum booking value specified by African Portfolio at the time of referral.
• Group bookings constitute one referral, regardless of the number of travelers.

Referral Reward

• The referral reward consists of your name being entered into a drawing to potentially win one complimentary safari trip for two persons, as specified by African Portfolio.
• The reward includes accommodation, meals, and scheduled lodge activities only.
• The reward excludes international and domestic flights (unless stated), travel insurance, visas, vaccinations, gratuities, premium beverages, spa treatments, personal expenses, and any items not expressly included.

Reward Confirmation

• The referral reward (entry into the prize drawing) is confirmed once the referred clients have booked a trip with a deposit. The referral name will then be entered into a draw. The winner of the draw will be notified in December 2026.
• Cancelled, postponed, or shortened bookings void the referrer being entered into the draw.

Booking & Travel Period

• The prize winner must book within six (6) months of confirmation.
• Travel must take place within twelve (12) months of confirmation.
• Travel is subject to availability and blackout dates, including but not limited to festive periods, peak season, and school holidays.

Non-Transferability & No Cash Value

• The prize winning trip for two is non-exchangeable and has no cash value.
• The reward may not be sold, assigned, or redeemed for cash or credit.
• If the reward is not redeemed within the specified period, it will be forfeited.

Booking Conditions

• The prize winning trip must be arranged exclusively through African Portfolio.
• The booking is subject to African Portfolio’s standard booking terms and conditions.
• Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.

Upgrades & Extensions

• Upgrades, extensions, or additional travelers may be added at the winning referrer’s expense.
• All additions are subject to availability at prevailing rates.

Cancellations & Forfeiture

• If the winning referrer cancels or fails to travel once the referral reward has been confirmed, the reward is forfeited in full.
• The reward may not be rebooked once forfeited.

Marketing & Publicity

• By accepting the referral reward, the referrer grants African Portfolio the right to use their name, images, and testimonials for promotional purposes.
• Participation in marketing may be declined by written request.

General

• African Portfolio reserves the right to substitute accommodations of equal or greater value if required.
• African Portfolio reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the referral program at any time without prior notice.
• All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

How to Qualify

• A referral is valid when a new client (not previously booked or quoted with us) confirms and travels on a qualifying trip.
• The referred booking must be made directly through African Portfolio.
• Only one referral reward may be earned per referred booking.
• The referrer’s name will be entered into a drawing where the winning prize is a safari for two.

What Qualifies as a Referral

• Referred client should let us know who referred them upon enquiry
• Referrals submitted after a booking has been confirmed do not qualify.
• Referrer and referred traveler may not be the same person.
• Family members and travel companions do qualify if they are on a separate booking.
• Repeat clients qualify and will be added to the draw.

Winning Prize Description

• The referrers’ name and repeat clients will be entered into our drawing – which will take place on 30 November 2026
• The winner will win one complimentary safari trip for two guests, as specified in the prize description.
• Prize includes accommodation, meals, and scheduled activities as stated in the itinerary
• Prize excludes international flights, insurance, visas, gratuities, premium drinks, spa treatments, and personal expenses.

Minimum Booking Threshold

• Referred booking must meet a minimum value ($7,500 per person)
• Group bookings count as one referral, regardless of group size.

When the Prize Is Earned

• Referral will be entered into the prize drawing once the referred clients have booked their trip with a non-refundable deposit.
• Drawing will take place on 30 November 2026 and winner announced by 10 December 2026
• Cancellations or postponed trips void the referral.
• Referral prize/reward cannot be redeemed in lieu of commission or discounts.

Travel Window & Availability

• Prize must be booked within 6 months of being awarded.
• Travel must take place within 12 months of award.
• Subject to availability at time of booking.
• Blackout periods apply (festive season and some local holidays).

Transferability & Cash Value

• Name changes not permitted once confirmed
• No cash alternative, credit, or refund if not used.
• If prize is not redeemed within the stated period, it is forfeited.

Booking Conditions

• Booking must be arranged exclusively by African Portfolio.
• Standard booking terms and safari participation waivers apply.
• Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory
• Company not responsible for cancellations due to illness, weather, political unrest, airline changes, or force majeure
• Standard safari risk disclosures apply

Upgrades & Extensions

• Prize winner may upgrade accommodation, flights, or add nights at their own cost.
• Additional guests may join at prevailing rates.
• All upgrades subject to availability.

Publicity & Marketing

• By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to reasonable use of trip images, testimonials, or feedback for marketing purposes.
• Participation in marketing is optional but encouraged.

General Conditions

• African Portfolio reserves the right to substitute lodges of equal value if required.
• African Portfolio reserves the right to amend or withdraw the referral program at any time.
• All decisions are final.
