Day 1
  • Private transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha Coffee Lodge (± 60 minutes)
  • Stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge for 1 night
  • Breakfast included
Arusha Coffee Lodge offers a truly distinctive experience with the opportunity to stay on a working coffee plantation. The lodge is built around the original plantation houses from the early 1900s, and charming shades of that bygone era remain. Here, you’ll not only enjoy the amenities you’d expect from an intimate luxury lodge, you’ll also get to breathe in the scent of freshly roasted beans and get try some of the many tasty blends. The 20 private en-suite chalets, on raised wooden platforms, all feature multi-level bedrooms, a log fireplace, mini-bar, a large balcony with views of Mt. Meru, and even a coffee grinder and percolator to enhance your coffee-estate experience. The warm, cozy atmosphere is perfect for cool evenings, yet there are also campfires outside for those wishing to dine alfresco. A swimming pool, garden terrace and a friendly, attentive staff add to the welcoming atmosphere of one of Arusha’s premier luxury lodges.
Day 2
  • Private transfer to Arusha Airport
  • Shared charter flight to Manyara Airstrip (± 30 minutes)
  • Game drive to Lake Manyara Tree Lodge (± 3 hours)
  • Stay at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge for 2 nights

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
As the only lodge found within Lake Manyara National Park, this camp has an entire wilderness paradise all to itself. Located in a dense forest at the southern edge of the lake, the lodge places their guests above everything else: figuratively and literally. The luxurious accommodations here are treehouses: ten in all, each nestled in an ancient mahogany tree. These expansive, deluxe suites have wide windows and private verandahs, a deliberate choice to invite the forest inside and to allow guests to feel a part of what’s outside. The interiors are understated and tasteful, featuring contemporary furnishings, an en-suite bathroom and an outdoor shower. As with everything at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, meals are immersive as the scent of delicious Pan-African cuisine wafts through the air, guests can stop by the interactive kitchen to observe the preparation. Your meals can be enjoyed in the outdoor boma, on dining decks, on your private viewing deck with spectacular forest views, or perhaps even at a lakeshore picnic. Though you are tucked away in the woods, a rich game-viewing experience awaits: Lake Manyara National Park boasts a spectacularly diverse array African wildlife. From the forests to the lake and along the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, guides will point out some of the many species that roam this game-rich landscape. This camp is truly one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets.
Day 4
  • Transfer to Manyara Airstrip and onto Ngorongoro Crater Lodge (± 3 hours)
  • Stay at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge for 2 nights
  • Twice daily scheduled game activities included
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
There is a reason this lodge has been named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List. Perched on the edge of the eponymous crater, the views alone from Ngorongoro Crater Lodge are reason enough to stay here: vast vistas across the broad expanse of what has become affectionately known as the “8th Wonder of the World.” This idyllic setting is also convenient, making the morning game drives down into this massive intact caldera that much easier. A mind-boggling 30,000 creatures roam there, providing an incomparable game-viewing experience. Yet this region is about more than just animals. With over 40,000 predominantly Maasai pastoralists inhabiting the area, this is a delightful example of man living in harmony with wildlife. When you return to camp, luxuriate in one of the 30 luxury suites here admiring the Tanzanian hardwoods, rich raw silk curtains, hand-beaded chandeliers, gilt mirrors while you unwind by the fireplace. Each stilted, handcrafted mud-and-thatch suite features impeccable details, like a centerpiece of fresh roses, huge showers and chandelier-lit bathtubs. Perhaps most magnificent: the bedroom, sitting room and en suite bathroom boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows, overlooking the 3-million-year-old Crater below. Service is a hallmark here – your personal butler will discreetly tend to your every need, bringing you tea in bed, stoking your fireplace and even drawing your bath.
Day 6
  • Transfer to Manyara Airstrip (± 90 minutes)
  • Shared charter flight Manyara Airstrip – Lobo Airstrip(± 45 minutes)
  • Transfer to Klein’s Camp (± 60 minutes)
  • Stay at Klein’s Camp for 3 nights
  • Twice daily scheduled game activities included
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
The charming comforts of your accommodations at Klein’s Camp are many including rugged stone interiors, leather armchairs, fine linens and china, crackling fireplaces, a private terrace ideal for viewing the diversity of resident wildlife in the valley below. Yet it is perhaps the setting that makes you feel most privileged to be here. Set in a 24,000-acre private sanctuary overlooking wooded hillsides, rolling grasslands, marshes and forested riverbanks on the northeastern border of Serengeti National Park, Klein’s camp is located in truly enchanting wilds. This is the region with largest concentration of migratory animals in the world (particularly in July and August), yet is also famous for its population of big cats, and elephants are more common around Klein’s than anywhere else in the Serengeti. Twice daily game drives and interpretive bush walks, led by the friendly and eminently knowledgeable staff here, introduce you to the many species that have roamed these wilds for millennia (you can even glimpse nocturnal creatures on a riveting night game drive). A dip in the swimming pool or a massage treatment will soothe you after a long day in the bush, and the mouthwatering, expertly prepared dishes served in the luxurious open dining area will sate the appetite you’ve built up while exploring.
