How would you rate your trip overall? Excellent
Comment: Best yet— returning to old camps, visiting a new one—very enlightening.
What was the most important reason for choosing AFRICAN PORTFOLIO? Repeat Client
Please Specify We have worked with Vanessa before.
Comment: The key was her; she did a good job for us.
How many safari companies did you consider before selecting AFRICAN PORTFOLIO? None
Comment: The people who met us at airports were excellent. We had good experiences at the camps— three different safari operators.
What additional information (if any) would you have liked to receive prior to your departure from home? I guess we hadn’t fully understood how much hassle it would be to go from Botswana to Namibia. Had to spend two nights in Windhoek rather than in camp.
How would you describe your accommodation, facilities and meals? Please provide the name of the hotel, lodge or camp you are describing. All were outstanding.
What and where was your favorite meal of the trip? Too many. My favorite camp and meals would be Selinda Explorer.
How would you evaluate your safari guides and staff? Please provide the name of the person you are describing. All excellent— Kitso, Vasco, Michael.
Was there anything you would have liked more of, less of, or done differently? As much as we enjoyed Ongava… it took a few days to warm up to it. Fewer animals, most action was at camp and on drives, and the time to get there… not sure I’d return. Maybe one other Botswana camp.
What was your most memorable moment in Africa? Being in the moment every day.

Probably the night we heard a hunt at Selinda Explorer— lions, scared zebras, stampede of zebras past our tent. And the next day…. the “unfortunate zebra breakfast” that lions enjoyed.

If you could give future travelers one word of advice, what would it be? I tell anyone: use three A’s: absorb, ask questions, analyze (why this way?) later.
