What additional information (if any) would you have liked to receive prior to your departure from home? More information about the airport process in Tanzania and where to meet the representatives at each major airport.  It was a little unsettling at times when you couldn’t find the person picking you up and you did not have a good phone number or name or when you called no one answered (including email).
How would you describe your accommodation, facilities and meals? Please provide the name of the hotel, lodge or camp you are describing. All accommodations were excellent.  We enjoyed each one and each one was very different.
What and where was your favorite meal of the trip? Favorite meals were at Camp Kimondo.  The food was truly over the top excellent.
How would you evaluate your safari guides and staff? Please provide the name of the person you are describing. The safari guides and staff exceeded our expectations in all ways.  We loved them and they were attentive to everything and very friendly and accommodating.
Was there anything you would have liked more of, less of, or done differently? The trip was very well done in terms of each place being very different than the other.  The experiences were quite different and we enjoyed that very much.  We enjoyed the Camp Kimondo experience the most – having the feeling like you are out in the middle of the animal experience and not always in so much luxury.  We liked the more “real” experience.
What was your most memorable moment in Africa? Other than the obvious ones of some of the amazing animals, it was leaving the Serengeti from Camp Kimondo on the plane and our two guides waving to us as our plane was taking off.  We made a very strong connection to them, to the camp and to the Serengeti.  It felt very emotional and special.
If you could give future travelers one word of advice, what would it be? Make the effort to stay at a migration camp.  It is like nothing else!  The migration camp experience was a combination of amazing and raw animal experiences combined with a staff that you just enjoyed being around and food that was like being at a 5 start New York restaurant.  You at times had to remind yourself you were in the Serengeti (until you heard the animals around the corner again!).   Also , the house experience is amazing if you have a larger group.  The watering hole there is very special.
