Day 1
  • Meet our local representative on arrival at Kigali International Airport
  • Transfer from Kigali International Airport to Kigali Serena Hotel
  • Stay at Kigali Serena Hotel for 1 night

Five-star Kigali Serena combines sophisticated style with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is set along one of the city’s most charming boulevards—mere minutes from the airport—and offers a laid-back yet luxurious home-away-from-home in Rwanda’s capital. The polished granite atrium, filled with Rwandan cultural art, is a great introduction to the elegant experience that awaits you here. You can lounge on the spacious sundeck, go for a swim in the recently refurbished swimming pool, and enjoy a colorful cocktail while listening to live music at the trendy-yet-tasteful Sokoni Café and Bar. Savor a delectable meal at the classically elegant Milima Restaurant—one of the city’s most popular eateries—and burn off the calories or simply treat yourself to a massage at the Maisha spa and health club. No matter which of the 148 rooms is yours—there is a range of options from standard to Presidential Suite—you’ll enjoy deluxe amenities such as wi-fi, flat-screen satellite TV, mini-bar, 24-hour room service and more. And once you decide to explore Kigali, the concierge can provide you unique insights on sights around town, including the riveting Kigali Memorial Center.
Day 2
  • Road transfer from Kigali Serena Hotel to Sabyinyo
  • Stay at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge for 2 nights
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
  • Day 3 – Gorilla Trekking
Here in the middle of the jungle—with the lush green slopes of the Virungas draped in a soft mist—you are constantly reminded of how thrillingly distant you are from home. Yet at the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, located next to the world-renowned Parc National des Volcans in northwestern Rwanda, you are made to feel right at home. The intimate camp includes five cottages, two suites and one family suite, all spacious and featuring en-suite bathrooms (with bath, shower, double basins, a flush loo and hot and cold running water) and cozy sitting rooms with fireplaces. Each has a private veranda, on which you can relax while listening to the soothing sounds of the wilderness all around you. The jungle will beckon while you’re here; after all, this area is world-famous for one of the most exciting and humbling wildlife experiences imaginable—gorilla trekking. Here in the same rainforest that Dian Fossey had her experiences with Gorillas in the Mist, you can get up close and personal with the rare mountain gorilla. It is an ineffable experience. Later, you can enjoy a delicious meal back in the dining room (or even, perhaps, arrange for a picnic nearby), and then recount the day’s thrills over a drink at the bar.
Day 4
