Guests often have a hard time deciding which amenities at Ruckomechi Camp they like best. Is it the ‘bath-with-a-view’ which allows guests to unwind in an outdoor bath with stunning views in utter seclusion? Perhaps it is the moments spent by the infinity pool looking out at the sweeping plains, or lounging on the cushions of the star-gazing deck, looking up at the sparkling night sky? No matter which is your favorite, this camp in the Mana Pools National Park in heart of the Zambezi Valley is bound to leave you with some unforgettable moments. The camp was built to be as gentle on the environment as possible; hot water and lighting for each unit, for example, is provided by solar power. A maximum of 20 guests can be hosted in 10 thatched chalets here, each with en-suite bathroom facilities that include indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilet and basin. Guests can take advantage of the main lodge’s facilities, ranging from the aforementioned pool to the bar, lounge and library which all face the escarpment. The game here ranging from lion, leopard and cheetah to zebra, kudu and elephant can be viewed in a variety of ways: from game drives and wildlife walks, to plying the waters in motorized pontoon boats and canoes
