River Club

Mere minutes from one of the most striking Wonders of the World—inimitable Victoria Falls—River Club’s superb location is just the beginning of the luxuries it offers.  The property recalls the Edwardian elegance of yore: a place where you can set off intrepidly in search of game, or simply relax with a Pimms and a friendly game of bowls. Each of the ten en-suite tents boasts a wealth of amenities, including furniture and fittings crafted of Rhodesian teak wood, as well as a mini fridge, sitting area, a bath and shower, not to mention spectacular river and sunset views. The main building, known as the Zambezi House, is a converted farmhouse that has been welcoming guests for decades. Unwind in the airy lounge, enjoy a meal at the long teak dining table, or just peruse a volume from the small library while relaxing by the fire. In spite of the comfort of your surroundings, the world outside will no doubt be too alluring: in addition to game drives (the wildlife-rich Zambezi National Park is located just across the River) you can enjoy sunset cruises, fishing trips, a tennis court and, of course, tours of this region’s most famous Wonder: mighty Mosi-oa-Tunya,  “The Smoke that Thunders.”
